Love is Worth Defending

is validation restored, by teaching the innocent to forgive?
and does pacifism stop those who take advantage of it?
do you defend the hungry from the whores, without hate?

What the world knows of love;
is something that you possess and take,
and so absent where it is given,
thus the antithesis of love is hate

SEE the worms, take, and take,
if love is merely the opposite of hate,
all done with a smile on televised face,
it's a free-for-all valentine's day
and we all know this by the name of "love".
and those deprived, repressing hate,
known only as antagonists

The sages and the gurus were wrong,
they always preached guilt for hate, in song,
and all the bereaved, turned the other cheek
and the world we made; exploitation of the meek

the fear to hate, where does it originate,
did it come from your heart, or the guilt they taught?
DOES your heart beat with passion or not?

and how can you love, without hating love's betrayal?
can you be a voice, while allowing yourself to be silenced?
